My expertise lies at the intersection of Human Evolutionary Biology, Human Behavioral Ecology, Life-History Theory, Behavioral Neuroendocrinology, Childhood Development, and Psychobiology to explain cross-cultural patterns of human variation, health, development, sexuality, gender, physiology, and behavior.

My research program investigates cross-cultural patterns of hormone reactivity and behavioral effects in the USA and Hong Kong. I utilize naturalistic field study designs to investigate hormone reactivity to stressors of physical and psychological competition in children and adults.
